Thomas Alexander is a photographer and filmmaker based in London, UK.

He fell in love with photography as a teenager, documenting the lives of his musician friends: the gigs, the road trips, nights sleeping on music venue floors, and everything in between. Interspersed with the gigs and parties, Thomas would also photograph training exercises on UK military bases for the Royal Gurkha Rifles. It was an exhilarating education in fast thinking and emotive photography. A fearless photographer, he was usually found dodging a punch in the middle of a mosh pit, or a flashbang during a military training raid, in order to capture the perfect image.

From here, Thomas moved to London and delved into the world of studio photography, starting as a studio assistant at Park Royal Studios before working as a freelance photo assistant to countless photographers including Harley Weir, Tim Walker and Nick Knight. After four years of freelance photographic assisting, in 2018 Thomas took on the role of full time Second Assistant to Nick Knight before quickly progressing to First Assistant. During this time, he worked on many SHOWstudio live broadcasts, interviews and 3D projects as well as being a key player in large scale productions under Knight, for clients such as:

Burberry, Dom Pérignon, Fendi, Gareth Pugh, Givenchy, Harrods, Kanye West, Maison Margiela, Tom Ford, Valentino, Yeezy. 

As well as magazines including AnOther Magazine, British Vogue, Vogue China, Vogue Hong Kong, Vogue Japan, V Magazine.
